    I have quite a few models that when imported into blender, look deformed. You can fix some by going to pose and resetting the transformations, but this imports the FBX characters properly. I can also import many at once and they have the file name. I found scripts that allow for multiple FBX files but they don't import with the name. You can also set the scale on import, which is awesome when you want to resize tons of models. One asset pack I bought had the characters in cm, but the buildings were in meters, so trying to use them directly in the game was impossible without doing some ridiculous scaling. This has saved many HOURS of my game dev hobby. Thank you!

    Great product, I have not tested all the features but it seems to work for now perfectly for importing/exporting fbx from/to BM Fusion to/from Blender, thank you for this great add-on.

    Works perfectly for my simple FBX animation and rigs from Maya to Blender. This app single handedly saved my butt! :D the regular Blender FBX importer scrambles up my maya rigs so badly that they are unrecognizable and unusable. So imagine my shock when right out of the box this works and I get perfect bound skeletons on the blender side! Note, that complex rigs from maya with expressions and advanced drivers should not be able to translate into FBX properly, but I had already planned ahead and kept my maya rig very simple with FK only joints, to anticipate a pipeline baking animation into blender for final FX and rendering. But after I tried it, I saw that it also takes the maya blendshapes across, saving me a ton of time! I can now feasably animate these creature rigs on the blender side as well. This plug-in is amazing, thank you!

    Wow - I wasted the better part of a day trying to get animation files into blender from Maya. The default blender fbx import was a total mess, so I had to try this add on. I only wish I did sooner, and would have done so, if not for the recent bad reviews. No idea what they are smoking - as I am very happy to report the Maya FBX imported perfectly, without error. Even better than how it looked in modo. I am on a Mac M1 , Blender 3.3 and the addon installed with zero problems. Thank you so much - best of luck!

    I need help with this addon im trying to export the model but I get an error Python: Traceback (most recent call last):
    and there is a lot of more other stuff that it says i dont know how to fix this but seeing as the creator responds to this day I please would like a response on how to fix this issue ive tried everything but I cant seem to get it to work

    It imported some tracking information and camera perfectly to my scene. bought it after spending a lot of time with the basic importer that could never get it right.

    I bought this plugin with high hopes to help me with working with Fbx files from unity into blender and back to unity. It was recommended to me by a well known unity model and animation asset maker in the unity asset store. Below is a description of the problem. Btw ( i contacted the person that recommended me to buy this plugin and he also ran into the same problem). I contacted the maker of this plugin but no answer so far. Please at least let us know what the issue is and if it can be fixed.

    I imported a perfectly rigged fbx model from unity into blender with betterfbx to add additional blend shapes to use in my game. I tried three different ways to get the model back into unity. Normal fbx export, betterfbx, as a blender file. The model comes into the unity looking normal, but when I apply animations to the model, the entire mesh collapses into a mess.
    I then tested with normal blender fbx import and normal fbx export without betterfbx and it worked perfectly when brought back into unity and the animations.

      Please disable 'Automatic Bone Orientation' if you want to re-use the original animations.
