Morpho Menelaus
This is a Blender 2.74 model of a Morpho Menelaus butterfly built from reference pictures. All textures are digitally painted. The model is rigged with a simple armature to move legs, wings and independent parts of the abdomen. Three simple poses are provided:
- a rest pose to see the butterfly from the top;
- a flying pose with legs bent in fly position;
- a reversed pose to see the butterfly from the bottom.
An optional Python script is provided to switch from photorealistic rendering to freestyle rendering. The script can be installed from the user preference menu. Once installed a switch button is available on the object tool pane.
