Real Time Cycles
Use the power of lightmaps to massively speed up your render times!
After creating the lightmaps, similar to how game engines work, you can see a huge performance gain! The only noise visible is from reflections, metallic materials and transmission.
The difference with and without real-time cycles is staggering, especially with interior scenes!
Same render settings for both!
As lightmaps only bake lighting you can have infinitely HD textures and even change them after the lightmaps have been baked!
Although Eevee next is amazing it still can't match the photorealism of cycles. RTC creates an almost identical final result to cycles.
RTC is an amazing tool but it's not perfect. The biggest limitation is it only works on static objects. If you want to animate an object or animate lighting affecting an object RTC won't work. You can have static objects with lightmaps and non-lightmapped animated objects in the same scene though!
Only materials that have a single principled BSDF node will work.
Only front-facing geometry bakes correctly.
