Underwater Cave Environment
Animated ocean cave environment for underwater scenes. Highly customizable, with multiple lighting and procedural material options included. The moving ocean waves create a beautiful, dynamic lighting effect inside the cave.
Includes three lighting options. Two daytime lights: an HDRI (Rustig Koppie Pure Sky) and a point light; and one nighttime light.
The entire cave object contains only 238 vertices, and uses a non-destructive modifier stack for detailed texture. You can change or add rocks very easily, just copy the modifiers to any mesh and it will get a realistic rocky texture.
The above shows the rock object with and without its modifier stack. The shape of the cave is completely customizable, so you can edit, add, and remove vertices without losing any detail.
The rock material is procedural, so there is no need to work with UV maps or baking.
The rocks come with two materials, a light and a dark version of the same procedural material. Colors and textures can be easily tweaked in the material editor if desired.
The sandy floor comes with a geometry node setup for starfish. The starfish are distributed using a vertex group (labeled STARFISH) and can be customized in the weight paint editor.
Starfish setup uses a collection of 7 starfish meshes and randomized colors. Starfish colors can be altered in the material panel, just select new colors in the color ramp node (outlined above) and each starfish will be randomly assigned a color within that range. Each starfish mesh has its own material.
