Adaptive Wood Siding
This product is a Geometry Nodes-setup which adaptively generates weather boarding or other wood siding for any building's facade. When flat textures don't provide enough photorealism to your architectural visualization, use this product to automatically generate real geometry planks covering designated areas of your geometry. This incredibly robust system is able to handle all kinds of facade topology typically encountered in architectural visualization. It can do miter joints on building corners of all angles and cut out parts of individual planks to match the shape of the facade exactly. You'll also have full control over the planks profile to recreate any siding style you can think of. The system also produces a range of vector attributes to serve as the custom texture coordinates for the wood materials. Whether you opt for a procedural wood material using a 3D wave texture or a PBR-image based approach requiring UVs, the right texture mapping is available. Example materials for both approaches are provided.
