Apple 12.9" Ipad Pro With Magic Keyboard
Important Notes
- All required textures are packed in the blend file. Should there be any issues with them, there is an included “Textures” folder that contains every texture file in png format.
- Not every object uses textures. The objects that do not use textures use Blender materials created using Blender’s standard shader editor.
- All featured images were rendered using Cycles. While the scene can be rendered using Cycles and EEVEE, Cycles yields the best results.
- The “glass” material contains two node groups: one optimized for cycles, and one optimized for EEVEE. The selected node group should correspond with the render engine being used.
- The parent object that contains the components of the iPad (named “iPad Pro”) can be used to perform transformations of the iPad including location, rotation, and scale. This object can also be used to edit various aspects of the iPad including the presence of the lock screen UI, the orientation of the lock screen UI/Wallpaper, the wallpaper type, and the iPad's color options.
- The parent object that contains the components of the Magic Keyboard (named "Magic Keyboard") can be used to perform transformations of the Magic Keyboard including location, rotation, and scale. This object can also be used to edit various aspects of the Magic Keyboard including the caps lock indicator light, the keyboard backlight brightness, and the keyboard color.
- The custom properties contained within the parent objects can be found in two places: The “Custom Properties” drop-down in the “Object Properties” tab or the “Properties” drop down in the “Item” tab.
- The first custom property on the iPad parent object is the lock screen toggle. This custom property is an integer value from 0 to 1 that drives the factor of a mix node in the screen material. The toggle can be used to enable and disable the lock screen UI on the screen. When set to 0, the UI would be disabled and when set to 1, the UI would be enabled.
- The second custom property on the iPad parent object is the orientation setting. This custom property is an integer value from 0 to 1 that drives the factor of a mix node in the screen material that cycles between a portrait and landscape version of the lock screen UI and wallpaper. The toggle can be used change the orientation of the lock screen UI and wallpaper. When set to 0, the UI would be portrait and when set to 1, the UI would be landscape.
- The third custom property on the iPad parent object is the wallpaper toggle. This custom property is an integer value between 0 and 1 that drives the factor of a mix node in the screen material that affects the displayed wallpaper. The toggle can be used to display one of the factory wallpapers, or a custom wallpaper chosen by the user. When set to 0, the wallpaper would be set to a factory wallpaper and when set to 1, the wallpaper would be set to the custom wallpaper. The selected factory wallpaper would change depending on the selected color (more on this in the next point). The custom wallpaper can be changed by navigating to the shader editor and selecting an image in the lower most image texture. This image texture should already have an image named "The Lake.png" selected.
- The fourth custom property on the iPad parent object is the color selection toggle. This custom property is an integer value from 1 to 2 that drives the factor of a more in-depth Color Ramp node group. The iPad Pro has 2 color options. This factor value cycles through the iPad Pro's color options: Space Gray and Silver. As previously mentioned, the displayed factory wallpaper depends on the selected color and will change with the color. There is a factory wallpaper for each color option.
- The first custom property on the Magic Keyboard parent object is the caps lock indicator toggle. This custom property is an integer value from 0 to 1 that drives the emission strength of the caps lock indicator material. When set to 0, the indicator would be off, and when set to 1, the indicator would be on.
- The second custom property on the Magic Keyboard parent object is the keyboard backlight brightness slider. This custom property is a float value from 0 to 1 that drives the emission strength of the keyboard keys material. When set to 0, the backlight would be at its dimmest setting (or off), and when set to 1, the backlight would be at its brightest setting.
- The fourth custom property on the Magic Keyboard parent object is the color selection toggle. This custom property is an integer value from 1 to 2 that drives the factor of a more in-depth Color Ramp node group. The Magic Keyboard has 2 color options. This factor value cycles through the Magic Keyboard's color options: Black and White.
