ArtGen is a simple add-on that allows you to quickly create ready-to-display artworks (like paintings, photographs, posters, etc..) from images, while respecting original dimensions and image ratios.

I hope it will help you to save some time when dealing with a large number of artworks/canvas (at least it did it with me!).

What does it do?

• Facilitates the creation of well sized canvas (especially when you have to create plenty of them)
• The generated object can still be modified to suit further needs (change default materials for example)

How to use it

• Install the add-on like any other Blender add-on (Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install > Select "artgen.zip" on your disk, then check the box of the newly installed add-on and you are ready to begin!)

• A new tab is now available is the N-panel, on right side of the 3D view

• When "Generate" is clicked, the artwork is created, and the configuration panel is displayed in the bottom-left corner of the 3D view
• You can now start to modify the properties (resize the artwork, add the main image, choose to preserve image ratio or not), don't forget to switch to "Material Preview" or "Rendered" to see the image texture in the editor.

• Once the configuration panel is exited, the artwork is fully ready to display where you like it the most!
