Solid add-on.
I fully recommend it for those who want to bring their architectural projects to reality or even for those who want a simple but exact way to carry out architectural constructions.
I am currently using it for some personal CAD projects and will soon be using it to make the buildings in a short animated film.
Because it's cheap and updates quickly with each blender version, it's an absolute must-have.
Thank you very much for your contribution to the blender community.
Add-on solido.

It seems conflict with other addons. And it is hard to find out which one, have to turn on one by one to see. Machin3 tools might be one of those. I hope it is not the case as I want to keep both.
And it doesn't work if the current working scene has object linked from other scenes. Once CL icon is clicked, it won't even launch the menu at bottom. The system gave the error like, Error running Construction Lines. See Console for messages. Object 'Cube' can't be selected because it is not in View Layer 'View Layer'!
Other than that, it is great addon with many potentials. Really Hope the next update will solve those issues. It will improve the workflow a lot.

Thanks for the review and pointing out those issues. I'll look into both of them and if I can recreate them, I'll fix them for the next version. If you have some time it would be great if you could message me through my website form. Then, I'll have the details of the system that you're running, OS, etc. I'm working on the next release at the moment, so any fixes will make it into that version.

Awesome, after creating a model in one and a half hour I got fed up with blender :). With this plugin I recreated the same model in 10 minutes!

I want to love this but it doesn't seem to work properly on an M1 Mac, I get "Python Script uses OpenGL for Drawing" and lines don't seemt o appear at all. I have to switch to OpenGL instead of using the native "Metal" driver, which then starts to become erratic and causes Blender to crash at some points.

Hi menziez, this is a Blender 3.5 issue. Construction Lines is not currently supported on Blender 3.5 (please see supported versions on the right-hand side of the product page). I'm currently working on an update which fixes this issue and is currently in testing, so should be released soon.

Has crashed blender serval times extrude function does not always execute on dragging all the way down. Generally not quite smooth flowing also does not snap to grid only to vertices.. Needs refining and need option to snap to grid when drawing
Daniel Norris

To snap to the grid you need to be in orthographic view, then pick one of the standard views (front, left, right, top, bottom). You can also snap to the smaller grid points. The options are in the tool panel ('N' panel) under Construction Lines. Please contact me about the crashing whilst extruding as there may be a simple fix.

Although still in Beta, yet this add on has already many useful tools that help to elevate up my Sketchup style precision work flow, believe the developer will keep making this add on more versatile, thanks!

Thanks for the review, Eric! You're absolutely right there, I'm always developing Construction Lines and as I use it for my own day-to-day work, I get to test it constantly.

Very erratic for a precision tool. Trying to draw rectangles or circles on cubes it might draw it so it creates a face on the cube or it might draw it 3 feet in front or exactly on top of the face. The only thing that works reliably is the measure and snapping to that guide, which is very helpful and that's going to be all I'll use it for. I know it says Beta, but it said that for two years now. If it only claimed to measure and snap to those guides I'd give it 5 stars and say it was worth the money, but it claims too much.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had some issues. Circles and rectangles drawing off of a cube's face is a bug I've never had reported before. If you can fill out a bug report on my website, it would be really useful to help track this issue down so I can fix it. I respond to every bug report I recieve.
Construction Lines has been in Beta for a long time because of the regular updates with new features. I recently put out a post to say that there will be no more major new features until after version 1.0 which will bring it out of Beta. At the moment, all development is focused on stability and performance.
