Some plugins need to be native to Blender. This one is it!

Only drawback is that every now and then the preview doesn't show up. Haven't discovered why that is, but I still highly recommend this plugin.

This makes understanding what each node does so much easier. Must have!

I don't understand why this is not a default feature in Blender ;)

It worked great in 3.4 but I can't seem to get it to work in 4.2.

Please send me a message so I can get further details to see how to fix this. Also, check if you're using the latest version (v1.20), it contains a bugfix for previews not showing up in Blender 4.2.

Thank you for quickly fixing the issue with previews not showing in Blender 3.3 under some circumstances. The addon is fantastic and works perfectly now. Excellent support!

I don't know how I can operate without this add-on from now on! It comes in handy more times than you would even expect!

Works in 4.1--and it really saved me a pile of trouble when I was importing Evermotion plant lib AM86 using the "Better Fbx Importer and Exporter" add-on (Blender's built-in importer couldn't handle the Fbx version). One out of fifty plants had multiple groups of texture files mismatched, e.g. a mask for leaves was applied to flowers, a bump map was applied to the wrong diffuse map, etc. The plant was obviously messed up but figuring out where the multiple problems were was made very simple using Node Preview. All I had to do was select a shader slot and see if all the texture files belonged together by their basic shapes. Once I found a "black sheep" like a leaf shape in with flower shapes, ll I had to do was update the texture file to the correct one.

When it works, it's amazing. For some reason, regardless of version, I get lots of "no shows." The node is installed, claims to be visible, but I don't get the preview. I gave up on this about a year ago. When it works, it's a miracle to understanding how Blender creates materials. Blender.org should buy this and integrate it into the product. I'm suprised this hasn't happened yet.
